A Finished Top!!!

I'm reporting my progress towards UFO completion on my day-to-day blog, Featherstone Quiltworks. This was a big week for me, finishing a quilt top that's 85" x 85". I found the perfect backing fabric for it this week as well, so it can get quilted and bound soon...woo-hoo!!!

Below is a link to my blog showing the quilt top. If you have UFO progress, you may add a link below also to your blog telling us what you're working on and your progress. If you don't have a blog, you can add a comment with a link to a photo of your work-in-progress, if you put your photo on one photo sites (Photo Bucket, Flickr, Shutterfly, etc.)

Keep on sewing!

Quilting Progress?

It's a new month, there's a fresh crispness in the air, the school buses are running, and I feel energized to dig in and get something done!

I got some sewing done on my unfinished projects, and I'm adding a link to my blog post telling you about it. If you have any UFO progress you'd like to add today (or later, for that matter), you can go ahead and add it to the top posting on this blog. This blog will be dedicated to reporting UFO progress.

So Many Quilts, So Little Time

For some time, I've thought of Thursdays as "UFO Thursdays". I would do some stitching on some of my older quilt projects -- even if it was half a block! Slow progress is still progress.

Most quilters I know have at least a few unfinished projects stashed away somewhere, patiently waiting to see the light of day again. Maybe you have a few, or maybe it's a few dozen!

Each Thursday I will add a new post here on this site. There will be a Mr. Linky box where you can add a link to the specific post on your blog detailing your progress on a UFO for that week. And if Thursday doesn't work for you, feel free to add a link to the current posting any day of the week you choose. (I chose to start a new blog for Thursday's Child so there would always be the current posting with Mr. Linky on top, ready for your addition.)

Anybody can join in our Thursday's Child UFO project at any time. If you've been starting more quilts than you've been finishing (like I have been), then it's time dig one out and let's do some sewing!

Since it's the first week, maybe you'd like to post a link showing a UFO you plan to work on next, or tell us your plans in the form of a comment.

Thursday's Child

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go SEW...
